GUILIN, CHINA

Guìlín, formerly known as Kweilin, which was China's first city to develop tourism after 1949, is located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Guilin earned its name "Forest of Sweet Osmanthus ", due to its large number of fragrant sweet osmanthus trees located in the city.

The city has long been celebrated for its scenery of karst landscape and is also known to be one of China's most popular tourist destinations till date.
